Kokua SecondLife Viewer Released

Kokua-4.1.1 represents a change in direction from a viewer that served SecondLife and most OpenSim grids to one directed to SecondLife users. Released a few days ago was a viewer for OpenSim users.

Many thanks to users that installed test versions and opened tickets or commented on this blog.

Plans are to refine OpenSim and SecondLife viewers for each targeted audience. This will include removal of all conditional code that facilitated the switch between SecondLife to OpenSim grids. These changes, for the most part, will not be seen by users as we plan phased implementation into test viewers.

This brings Kokua to parity with SecondLife-4.1.1 and to RLV-

Thank you so much for all your work:) The viewer works well so far. Only problem that I have is that the Cinnamon Desktop at Linux Mint 18 (64 bit) crashes when I start the viewer. Not every time, but about 80% of times when I first start the viewer. And it never crashes a second time after Cinnamon restarted after the crash. Maybe it is a problem with my installation of Cinnamon. I had the same problem with the 4.0.2 viewer.
Can anybody reproduce that on their computer?

I am running XP Service Pack 3. When I double-click the installer, it says:

“Kokua only supports Windows XP with Service Pack 3 and later. Installation on this Operating System is not supported. Quitting.”

I’ll double check the message, but I am certain the viewer no longer supports winXP.

The problem was the logic was for Windows Vista service pack 2 and the installer messages had not been updated.
I am not sure if we updated Kokua-OS versions.
Thanks for reporting. Pretty sure this is not the answer you wanted.
