Imprudence 1.3.0 Released

At long last, Imprudence 1.3.0 is available! This is the culmination of a year of development effort, and boy are we glad to finally get it released! It doesn’t have all the shiny new features that the Experimentals do, but this is still an important milestone in the Imprudence development roadmap.

This release contains many bug fixes and other polish compared to 1.3.0 RC3. If you are using 1.2 or any of the 1.3 RCs or betas, we encourage you to upgrade to this new release. If you are currently using the Experimentals, there’s no need for you to download this release.

As always, we ask that you post your feedback in the forums. We rely on your reports and feedback to make Imprudence better!

If you’re new to Imprudence and curious what makes us different, our features list and manifesto (mission statement) are good places to start reading.

I downloaded the 1.3.0 version this morning and have it installed and open. I am unfortunately NOT seeing any of these “Experimental”. My advanced tab does NOT have those three separate tabs one being SPELL CHECK. I am a HUGE fan of imprudence, I came to it when Emerald was on the verge of destruction and fell in love, BUT I don’t like being told I am getting something and it not be there. PLEASE, fix this problem OR tell me how too if its on my end. Thanks so much for a great program.

@ScarLox: As the post says, 1.3.0 doesn’t have all the new features of the Experimental versions. If you want the Experimental features, naturally you have to install an Experimental version. :)

Yay! Thank you for all the hard work. This is by far my favorite viewer, and the only one I use these days. :D

I am so happy to have a tpv that doesn’t crash my wacom tablet driver no matter how much i update and attempt to fix it or force me into 2.0 style *cringe*

I’ve used many new versions of Imprudence without an issue. However after recently installing a new video driver both RC3 and the weekly eventually result in a grey screen with red hues.

I might roll back the driver but for now I’m testing to see if there’s a problem with other viewers as well. So far Phoenix works.

I mention this because my video card, a GTS250, seems extremely common and the invidia drivers would affect a large number of people.

This exact same problem came up before which is why I was using an older driver. I had to update for another program and sadly if Phoenix works I’ll just have to use that even though I prefer Imprudence.
